conversation at work that just happened
coworker 1 (to coworker 2):
So yesterday I brought a ton of change to the bank. My backpack was full of rolled up change. It was so heavy!! Nancy, you held my bag!
[silent pause] um.. [blink] yeah, it was really heavy, it almost sprained my arm!
[conversation proceeds as usual]

I can't remember the last time that I bought a Barbie doll. I've actually been pretty good with my doll problem. I preordered 2 of them back in November, got one of them in late December and one in February. The one that I just pre-ordered is from a special series of dolls:

Each one is exclusive to a particular country. Canada's exclusive is the maid. USA gets the waitress. The nurse is for Europe/Australia. The stewardess is for Japan and the teacher is for Singapore. Somehow My Favorite Dolls may be getting their hands on the nurse as well as the maid and waitress. I put myself on the waiting list for the nurse. I would LOVE the stewardess but I see no way of getting her. Maybe Ebay or something later.

unlikely sightings
I went to Vaughn Mills (new-ish mall just north of Toronto) last night for the first time ever. My sister had to buy a gift for her mother-in-law. Neat looking but the stores weren't all that impressive. I was shocked to run into [livejournal.com profile] touch_my_skin and [livejournal.com profile] illicit there! Also, I was at Aritizia, and I saw copies of Juxtapose Magazine there. That was just weird. And also, I ate ice cream, it was yum!

I stopped by Paradise Comics the other day. I sorted out my volunteering hours. (I took all of Friday off work and they'd only scheduled me to work from 3pm, boy did Doug get an ear full!!) Apparently, Doug told [livejournal.com profile] pers that I came by in my monster boots. I was wearing my normal Hex slightly platformed boots! I dunno what he was talking about!

Speaking of [livejournal.com profile] pers, I have realized that I now fear WoW more than ever. I haven't heard hide nor hair from this girl recently. No posts/comments in the Lippy community, no gushing about the latest comics that she's picked up. Nothing. Spoke to her about San Diego on MSN the other day and asked if school work's been keeping her busy or something... nope, she bought WoW. Any game that can tear [livejournal.com profile] pers away from those 2 addicts is a frightening and formidable thing. I wonder if this is Cthulhu and his buddies' way of getting into people's brains and ushering back their domination of our world from their far off stars :|

oh oh
This made me think of "oh steve!" http://www.5nak.com/images/ohadolf.jpg mostly coz the "oh" though.
